Christmas Brings God to Us
In the beginning was the Word, Jesus. The Word was with God.

Jesus was there in the beginning. Jesus was with the Father and the Holy Spirit in the beginning. This withness, the Greek word is pros, means a perpetual closeness and movement towards the Father and the Spirit. The Word, Jesus was in the beginning and he was ever moving closer and into deeper more authentic relationship with the Trinity.
Christmas brings the culmination of the withness the Word Jesus has with the Trinity. The Word Jesus at Christmas brings the withness with the Trinity to mankind and is called Emmanuael, God WITH US.
At Christmas the Word Jesus does not meet you half way or most of the way but meets you all the way bringing that withness to you where ever you are, whoever you are. Jesus opens the way back to withness with God like we were always created to have.
On Christmas we celebrate the coming of the Word Jesus as the sweet babe in the manger and his coming again as God and judge of us all. At Christmas we celebrate the coming of the withness that the Word Jesus brings us into. On Christmas we are invited to make a choice of embracing that withness to dwell with the Trinity.
Merry Christmas! May you be drawn ever more into the withness of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
